TSO :)
Last night my parents and Adam and I went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert at the Van Andel Arena. It was FABULOUS! Afterwards we enjoyed some martinis at Bistro Bella Vita, which is right by the arena. The whole evening was tons of fun and worth the drive through the snow. Here are some "illegal" pictures. :)

snow snow snow snow!!!
Hokey Toots! We are completely shocked by the amount of snow that has fallen in the past week. Adam enjoys using his snow blower. He even walked over behind the snow blower to my parents house to blow out their driveway. (What a Man!) The snow has sure is beautiful and it definitely makes me grateful for a warm house to keep me safe from the storm. This weather has also forced me to slow down. I am not the "sit around and do nothing type". I normally need to feel busy in order to stay sane. With 4 feet of snow surrounding my house... there isn't much to do. :)
The snow does not seem to be slowing Quincy down at all. In fact, when he is outside he is the funniest thing ever. We have shoveled out a "potty" area for him in the yard but with the snow so high, there are times I can't see him in the backyard! I promise to post pictures tomorrow... I am going to attempt a trip to school to get my camera (which I was going to use for our Christmas Party that we never had) and my computer charger. Wish me luck!
Oh, Please keep my dad in your prayers. He is forced to be out in the weather tonight because he is a truck driver. It is nights like this that make us very nervous for him. Thanks!

National Day of Holiday Baking :)
On Saturday we gathered at Nana S's house for our national day of holiday baking. It is a very full day of baking cookies and other deliciously bad for us treats. :) We had a great time making a huge mess. We enjoyed the surprise of Tim and Melissa joining us all the way from Massachusetts. They surprised Lindsey which was priceless. We had a great time! Enjoy the pictures!
Here are my cousins from left: Emma, Olivia, Mason, Lindsey, Keegan
Melissa, Nana and Michelle attempting to figure out our peanut butter cookies.
Making a mess... yet having so much fun :)
Even uncle Tim got in on the decorations!

Its Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!
Today Adam and I had the pleasure of bundling up, heading out in the blizzard, and finding our first Christmas tree! We had lots of fun with my family. Cutting down a Christmas tree has been a strict tradition since I was VERY young. :) We trudge through the field, for a while sometimes, and find the "perfect" tree. This year we had four trees to find. We had loads of fun! Even through it was very snowy that didn't dampen our spirits. After enjoying the morning, Adam and I set off to decorate our home. We enjoyed eggnog and Christmas music while putting lights on the tree. It was fun! Quincy and Tigger seemed to enjoy our new decorations. We will see how Tigger does with all the ornaments. He seems to like them. :) Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Our little family. :)
I guess part of getting married is settling into your own family. It is strange to be called Mrs. V at school. I know that Adam also enjoys telling everyone that he is hanging out with his wife. Marriage has not come without difficulties. Living with someone 24 hours a day brings struggles as well as joy. Adam and I are learning how to deal with each other and how to communicate. We are beginning to feel settled in our house. It is slowly starting to truly feel like ours, instead of a building that we are only inhabiting.
I wanted to introduce you to our little family. We have Quincy who is already a year and a half old. We also have added a new "member" to our family, Tigger. He is four months old and super sweet. Quincy adores him and Tigger seems to enjoy Quincy as well. They are really making this house feel lived in. :)
Have a blessed day!

Look at me! I'm blogging!
Good Morning! Being a teacher and now an "adult" I have realized I am one of the few people in the world who is not blogging. SO! Welcome to the Valz family website. :) I will be posting to this when anything exciting happens. :) I hope that you enjoy it! Bear with me... I am learning. :) Have a great day!
